As we approach the big weekend, we are finalising the schedule of events. While still subject to some change, the events listed below are now essentially fixed.
Thursday 9th April
09:30 Tour of the Cotswolds. Meet at the Porter’s Lodge, St Hilda’s at 09:20.
Friday 10th April
11:00 Tour of Christchurch College. Meet at the Porter’s Lodge at St Hilda’s at 10:30 or at Christchurch College main entrance at 10:50.
14:00 Gossip’s Tour of Oxford. Meet at the Porter’s Lodge at St Hilda’s at 13:50.
16:30 Registration opens in the JDP. Book buffet, raffle, and supply store open.
17:30 Buffet meal.
19:30 Official welcome.
20:00 Ice breaker games and magician.
21:30 Entertainment with adult poet A.F. Harrald, followed by book signing.
23:00 Close of events
Saturday 11th April
09:45 Welcome and notices.
10:00 Speaker Dr Clemence Schultze from the Barbara Pym society.
10:45 Book sales and morning coffee. Raffle and supply store open.
11:30 Speakers ‘The Deadly Dames’ with guest Peter Tickler.
12:15 Book signings.
12:30 Lunch break. Many restaurant opportunities are available within 15 minutes walking distance of St Hilda’s.
14:15 Morris Men on the lawn at St Hilda’s.
15:00 Speaker Ann Granger.
15:45 Book signing and afternoon tea. Raffle and supply store open.
16:30 Presentation of prizes and raffle draw. Athens Convention 2016 presentation. Bids for Convention 2017.
18:30 Gather at the JDP to walk to meal venues at 19:00.
Sunday 12th April
09:00 Bagging up books for the release walks in the JDP.
10:00 Inspector Morse release walk.
10:10 Historical Oxford release walk.
11:00 Plodders release walk (self guided).
12:00 Flashmob in Bonn Square.
12:15 Disperse for meal options. Many eating opportunities nearby.
14:00 Tour of the Bodleian Library. Meet in Bonn Square at 13:45.
14:00 Gossip’s Tour of Oxford. Meet in Bonn Square at 13:50.
15:00 Tour of Christchurch College. Meet in Bonn Square at 14:45.
15:00 Tour of the Bodleian Library. Meet in Bonn Square at 14:45.
18:00 Evening meal and fun quiz. Meet in the Refectory at St Hilda’s.
