Enter this release competition for your chance to win a bundle of goodies simply by guessing a number correctly. Our very generous treasurer ardachy has set up this competition as detailed on the main BookCrossing forum.
He asks BookCrossing members to guess how many books will have been released to the Official BookCrossing Zone (OBCZ) of the Convention by the time he arrives in Oxford on Friday 10th April (likely some time in the afternoon). The person whose guess is closest to the actual number released, as measured when Trevor can first connect to the internet on his arrival in Oxford, will win. Trevor’s prize includes wings and a book from Trevor’s shelf for either the winner or a person of their choosing, some labels, and any other surprise goodies that Trevor decides on.
Entries to the competition should be made by replying to Trevor’s original forum post on the main BookCrossing site, with a closing date for entries of Friday 3rd April. Each BookCrossing member can make just one guess, and before posting your entry it’s important to check that number hasn’t already been selected – only the first person who chooses the closest number will win.
To help you guess, you can visit the OBCZ page and see how many books have already been released. At the time of writing this (on the evening of 14th March) 379 books had been released to the zone.
