We are very pleased to announce that our first confirmed speaker for the Oxford Convention will be Dr Clemence Schultze.
As the immediate past Chairman of the Barbara Pym Society, Clemence will present a talk entitled Barbara Pym: An Unashamed Reader of Novels. Barbara Pym makes the perfect subject for the Oxford Convention, as the event is being held in the very same college where she gained her Honours degree in English Language and Literature.
Our Convention Chair Janice (MissMarkey) will be providing a selection of Barbara Pym’s novels as bookrings, to allow attendees to become more familiar with the author’s work prior to Convention. Look out for further news updates about these in the near future.
In the meantime, if you would like to find out more about Dr Clemence Schultze and Barbara Pym, please visit the dedicated page on our website here.
